When I say your book is a good
one, I have a lot to compare it to. I am an avid
reader, belong to several writing groups, and over the years
I've taken many writing classes. I've come across one
or two authors who I think are solid writers but your
writing outshines them all.
And here's the part I love
the best -- you do it all without swearing, nudity, casual
sex, gruesome violence, and everything else people toss into
books in a misguided effort to make it "realistic".
I'm not a regular-sized fan. I am a huge fan.

A Cobweb on the Soul
by Mystery Writer

A
Cobweb on the Soul is a riveting
psychological suspense novel set in Park City,
Utah, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics ski
events. During a walk-through of the old Bradford
Mansion, architect Abby Carlson discovers the body
of Heather Sloane, a young girl who looks
remarkably like her sister Lianne who disappeared
nine years earlier. This event triggers
nightmares and a reconnection with her sister's
spirit that Abby finds comforting and at the same
time disconcerting.
Jared Norton, Abby's love interest and Sergeant
of Investigations, has the responsibility to solve the
murder; however, Jared is fighting demons of his own.
Eight years earlier, his wife of only a few months
was murdered, the victim of a robbery gone bad
and he still mourns for her.
A
second Park City murder a few days later points to
the possibility of a serial killer. It soon
becomes apparent the killer is hell-bent on revenge
against Abby for disrupting his intent to hide Heather
Sloane's murder. His threats and intimidation
tactics escalate, with Abby unaware of the
approaching peril.
Five
suspects emerge, one of which could be the
killer who goes by the nickname -- Johnny.
Abby discovers evidence she feels could lead to the
identity of the murderer, but Jared pointedly
suggests that she leave the detective work to the
police -- the very words the police used following
Lianne's disappearance. Disgusted with herself
for falling in love with a cop, Abby breaks off her
relationship and does her own investigating,
putting herself and her best friend's three-year-old
daughter in jeopardy.
