What happens when a
Mormon boy, and a girl raised in a polygamous colony meet at college
and fall in love? What obstacles will they face, and can they have a
future together? Janet’s first novel, Don’t You Marry the Mormon
Boys, is a love story that takes an honest look at families who
struggle with prejudice, acceptance, and forgiveness.

Cindy Bonner...

Cindy Bonner, a Texas
native now living in Yorktown, is the author of four novels:
Lily,
Looking After Lily,
The Passion Of Dellie
O'Barr. and her latest
Right From Wrong.
Her novels take a
non-typical, but historically more accurate approach to writing. She
is a new breed of female author who tackles the Western genre, and
in so doing, she writes from the unusual perspective of women who
settled the West.
Cindy’s novels have
been named Best Books by the American Library Association, and
finalist for the Western Writers of America's Medicine Pipe Bearer's
Best First Novel of the West. Her short stories have appeared in
several literary magazines, including The Gettysburg Review, High
Plains Literary Review, and Crosscurrents, and have won awards from
the Roberts Foundation and from Texas Byliners.
An
excerpt from Right From
Wrong won the 1997 PEN Texas Award for Best Novel.
Cindy has conducted numerous writing workshops and acted as a judge
for the Oklahoma Federation of Writers novel contest and for the
Abilene Writers Guild.

Village University – Writers Helping Writers Online Since 1995...

WVU is a living,
breathing community of friendly, helpful writers from around the
world, who have made education an important part of their lives. The
curriculum is always growing; over 200 classes are now offered. As a
member, you may take as many courses and workshops as you'd like.
Best of all, you can fit courses to your schedule and pace.
If you're a beginner,
you won't have to worry about harsh, intimidating criticisms of your
work. Instead, they encourage and help build confidence in the
writer. Members know it's just as important to point out the strong
points in a writer's work as it is to suggest areas to improve.
Programs are
available for every level of writer. For more advanced writers, The
Village provides guidelines that encourage detailed, constructive
criticism with an emphasis on balance. Face-to-face critique groups
often have trouble finding a time when everybody can physically
meet. With WVU, you visit the site when it is convenient for you.
I highly recommend
this writers’ group.

and Sherry Garr have created "The Greatest Multi-Sensory Reading
Method Ever!". This method is obviously visual and auditory,
but the clever way it pulls in the tactile sense really sets it
apart from others.
